Thanks to its privileged location and the proximity of the most significant routes, Cal Duc, in the heart of the province of Girona, makes it easier for the guests to visit the most interesting places of the area, and, in only one day, scores of sport, leisure and adventure sports activities can be made.

One of the closest activities is the pitch and puttgolf from Mas Pagès, only 10 minutes away.

In Banyoles, also located at 10 minutes from the house, it is possible to visit the famous Lake, be by bike, foot or boat, as well as the Romanic church of Santa Maria de Porqueres. Another must is the visit of the old town of Banyoles(Gothic style church of Santa Maria dels Turers, the main square, the monastery of Sant Esteve, from the IXth century, museums, etc.). If the guests wish to, they may visit the town riding the famous Tren Pinxo. Among the various sport activities, the most remarkable ones are horse-riding, canoeing, rowing and BTT.

In the same region of Pla de l'Estany, the guests can visit the park of the caves of Serinyà, only 15 minutes away from the house.

At 15 kilometers, before getting to Sant Miquel de Campmajor (the road between Banyoles and Santa Pau), stands the famous forest of Can Ginabreda, where it is possible to stare at the amazing erotic sculptures from the artist Xicu Cabanyes.

Visiting the museums, monuments and the whole cultural offer of the magnificent city of Girona, only 20 minutes away from the house, is an absolute must, especially the jewish quarter, the Cathedral and the park of La Devesa.

Moreover, in the region of La Garrotxa, 20 minutes by car from Cal Duc, one can visit the village of Besalú, a remarkable medieval town of high cultural interest, with its Romanic bridge, from the XIIth century, the archaeological park of La Devesa, the church of Sant Vicenç and the main square, to name but a few interesting points.

Only 35 minutes away from the place, in Santa PauandOlot, it is possible to enjoy a walk around the volcanic areaof La Garrotxa, as well as the famous Fageda d'en Jordà.

As for the regions of Alt Empordà and Baix Empordà, located at 30 minutes by car, the guests will have the chance to visit the Dalí museum, in the town of Figueres (Alt Empordà); the so-called Costa Brava, an impressive set of beaches and bays of amazing beauty and quality; the Greek-Roman town of Empúries (Alt Empordà), of extraordinary cultural level, and even the natural park of the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà.

And, for the snow-lovers, the Pyrenees, at only one hour by car, offer the chance to enjoy ski down the slopes of Vallter 2000 resort or, even closer, visit wonderful mountain villages such of Sant Pau de Segúries, Camprodon and Setcases.
